Business Context
Immunogenomics was a San Francisco-based healthcare startup led by oncologists specialising in immunology and genetics.
Their vision was to help cancer patients access information, specialist medical expertise and personalised treatment options beyond traditional referral pathways.
Starting without an established brand or digital presence, the organisation needed a platform that could communicate complex medical information clearly, build patient trust and connect people with relevant resources.
We start by understanding the business, its audiences and goals, defining the requirements and direction before design and development begin.
Strategy & Discovery →Discovery & User Research
We worked closely with the founders, oncologists, subject matter experts and patients to understand the organisation's goals and the needs of its different audiences.
Our research identified five key user groups, including cancer patients seeking treatment options or second opinions, caregivers, people looking for preventative health information, and medical professionals seeking resources or opportunities to join the network.
These insights informed the website strategy, information architecture and user journeys.
Brand Strategy & Identity
We developed Immunogenomics' brand identity from the ground up, working with the founders to create a visual language that reflected the science behind their work while remaining approachable to patients.
This included logo design, brand styling, messaging and creative direction for supporting content and video.
The objective was to communicate medical expertise without losing the human stories at the centre of the organisation.

UX Design & Prototyping
With several distinct audiences to support, we mapped user journeys, workflows and website structure before moving into visual design.
We developed wireframes, page layouts and reusable components, progressing into high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
Regular reviews with stakeholders helped refine the experience, with a focus on clear navigation, accessible information and building confidence among patients seeking support.

Our five-step UX-led process takes projects from discovery and requirements through to design, development and testing.
Our 5-Step UX-Led Process →Custom Drupal Development
Graham Agency designed and developed the website using a custom Drupal 8 CMS.
The build included structured content types, reusable components and flexible page layouts to support the organisation's growing content requirements.
We also provided managed hosting, testing environments, security updates and ongoing technical monitoring.
Digital Marketing Foundations
To support the organisation beyond launch, we established newsletter subscriptions, social media platforms and website analytics.
We also provided creative direction for video content, helping maintain consistent branding and messaging across digital channels.

Continued strategic, design and development support after launch.
